The doctors, receptionists, animal health technicians and the kennel maintenance personnel all share a common goal, and that is to make your pet friend comfortable and hasten the recovery if he/she has to spend time in our hospital. We are painfully aware that these times can be trying for all concerned pet owners. Keeping you informed and making you feel at ease is of paramount importance to us. Other visits can be quite enjoyable and we wish nothing more than to make them pleasant for you. These visits are the backbone of our Wellness Awareness Program, because we would rather see you and your pets happy and healthy through our preventative medicine measures than "under the weather." The emphasis during these visits is your well pet and the importance of regular physical examinations to keep him or her that way. The frequency, of course, varies with the individual's age just as in human medicine. Our experience in the field of animal health enables us to pick-up or to interpret subtle changes in behavior or minor physical changes that may be meaningful in maintaining a healthy pet. Just as important is educating you, the client, to be aware of certain signs alerting you to a potential problem. After all, you are with your family pet day in and day out.
